Masako Nozawa
Born January 25, 1936 · Age 89
Masako Nozawa is not merely a voice actress — she is an institution. Since first voicing Son Goku in Dragon Ball in 1986, she has portrayed the character without interruption across every series, every film, every special, and every game that followed. Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, Dragon Ball Super, Dragon Ball Daima — she has been there for all of it, delivering the boyish wonder, the fierce determination, and the earth-shattering power of Goku with unwavering consistency.Beyond Goku, she simultaneously voices his son Gohan, his younger son Goten, and his father Bardock — a feat of vocal dexterity that is virtually unmatched in the industry. At 89, she remains one of the most active and revered seiyū in Japan, a living testament to the craft.
A Send-In of Legendary Proportions
When HIT Grading announced a Son Goku signing event with the original Japanese voice actress herself, the collector community responded with the energy of a Super Saiyan transformation. This was not a convention signing table or a managed celebrity meet-and-greet. This was a rare, carefully coordinated event — one that required our team to travel halfway around the world to bring collectors' most treasured items directly to one of anime's greatest living icons.
Funko Pop! figures, TCG cards, and a range of genuine Dragon Ball collectibles bearing the likeness of Son Goku were entrusted to HIT Grading by fans across the globe. Every item received was logged, inspected, and treated with the utmost care before beginning its remarkable journey to Japan.
The HIT Grading team boarded a flight to Tokyo — not for a trade show, not for a business meeting, but for one reason only: to put your collectibles in the hands of Masako Nozawa.
Events of this nature are extraordinarily rare. Nozawa-san is 89 years old, actively working, deeply respected, and fiercely selective about her commitments. Being granted the opportunity to facilitate a signing of this scale is something the HIT Grading team does not take lightly — and neither should you.

Your Certificate of Authenticity
Every single item processed through this event comes with a HIT Grading Certificate of Authenticity. The COA is not just a piece of paper — it is the definitive, verifiable record of your collectible's signed status. It documents the signatory, the item, and HIT Grading's role in facilitating and witnessing the signing process. Whether you display it, store it, or eventually trade it, your COA travels with it.
